What is this 'ScriptProject' thing?

ScriptProject is designed to give you access to fansubbing scripts so you can use them for whatever purpose you see fit, namely those from the fansubbing group Dattebayo.

Uh why would I possibly want the scripts?

There's a couple reasons. Let's say you wanted to release a version later on with a better raw, or you didn't like our encode, or some day in the future all episodes of Pitagora become available in Hyper-dimensional 4D. Or lets say some day they find a way to fit 23 minutes of video in 16mb, or you hate our lack of MKVs, or you are a localization group who doesn't want to have to retime to release in Swahili, or you want to fill it with the word "cripes" for some reason.

Okay, I get it. How do I get the scripts.

You just click on one of the projects and you get taken right to the scripts. Cripes, I couldn't make it any easier. Jump to the Projects page to get the scripts.

Cripes, so that's it?

Uh, not quite. When you download these scripts you are being granted a license to them. Here's how this license works. You are granted a non-exclusive license to the script files on this site. You may modify them freely and in any way you see fit, however you must obey these guidelines:

• You may not release any works and claim that they are original works of Dattebayo.
• If you credit anyone in your release (such as who encoded your file, who re-translated it, who did your lame as hell AFX) you must also credit the original staff who worked on the script, this includes the translator and timer at minimum. If your script uses the original typesetting or text, you should also include the editor and typesetter. Instead of individual credits, you may also simply credit "Original script by Dattebayo (www.scriptproject.org)". If your release has no credits at all, you do not need to provide credits.
• You may under no circumstances sell any work derived from our scripts under any circumstance. If you wish to use them for commercial use, you can license them from us for almost nothing, usually 50-150$ per episode, and that will include having us re-edit them if you like. If you want to do that just contact interactii on irc.dattebayo.com, or via e-mail, for cripes sake.

It's not like we have much power to enforce these, and we know it, but if becomes bad, we'll just stop this entirely. :D

You sure as hell can, In fact I really want you to. I want to get tons of scripts here so everyone can access them. Just contact me on IRC, and I'll be happy to set you up with a wiki account so you can put up your scripts or something like that.
